FAQ

Sample Initial Projects

We suggest you explore the system as a subcontractor for a finished project. We've created six different options; choose the ones that interest you the most and explore what our system has to offer. You'll be able to test various interface types and see typical applications. If that's not enough, you can download more from the Public Library, showing elements of an ECG implementation.

Initially, you won't be able to change anything – all projects are defined by their owner, and they can only modify certain things. Once you see how simple it is in practice, you'll be able to request the activation of all functions for testing. However, first, check what it looks like from the operator's perspective.

Projects:

project name  Audit  CC Capture  Display  Upload ...
Accuracy to GRACoL (Process) Project-icon-bench
CMYK ICC Profile (Gamut) Project-icon-bench
Basic Variation Benchmark Project-icon-bench
Proof Verification with Label Project-icon-bench
Five Brand Colors
Process + Named Colors

Alternative Inspectors -Select the best for particular tasks

Print Inspector – If you’re focused on printing devices, process control, calibration, profiling, or verification, you’ll need assessment and troubleshooting tools. You’ll audit and learn to use tools that help resolve various technical issues. The dominant interface will be Print Inspector.

Packaging Inspector — An interface designed primarily for web machine operators, where decision optimization and operator guidance are crucial to production economics. With additional side-by-side comparisons and accurate analytics, the interface provides clear, actionable recommendations for the operator.

QuickChecker-based — Instant random measurements with auto-recognition mode, automatic recording, and quick access to measurement history. An ideal tool for tracking spot (named) colors — not just for quality controllers. Quick Checker, in its limited basic version, is a free tool that can be accessed without registration.

Instrument Inspector — Check your instruments, compare results, and analyze differences by remeasuring Proof Verification in Instrument Inspector. The Idealliance ISO 12647-7 Control Wedge 2013 can be used as a short-term target for Instrument Inspector.

Display Inspector – Extend your project to verify displays using Spectraproof, integrated with softproofing and display calibration solutions provided by ChromaChecker Technology Partner. This feature will be available in January '26 and requires a separate licence.

Features

Project-icon-bench Self-audit • Benchmark
• Ensure compliance with GRACoL by checking print accuracy to the standard
• Optimize color performance by evaluating printer gamut on target substrates
• Maintain consistent quality by verifying all types of print variations.

Manual upload
If you already have measurement files, use the manual upload feature to see instant reports.

Integrated Barcodes for Automation
Test integrated barcodes to speed up workflow and eliminate human errors by using barcodes for project/job selection and description. We recommend the ChromaChecker CC-2D Plug-and-Play barcode reader or any other compatible model.

Print Report and Labels
Document measurement with the PDF Report or Label.

Steps

  1. Download the attached PDF and print it on any color Printer (tabloid size).
  2. Register your free account. _ it takes less than 5 minutes to set up the system
  3. Download the software, install it, and launch it.
  4. Select interface (Print Inspector, Quick Checker, or Packaging Inspector)
  5. Select a project and begin measuring.

Key benefits:

  • Ensure consistent quality by benchmarking printers against GRACoL standards
  • Quickly compare multiple printers to identify strengths and weaknesses
  • Focus your efforts where they matter most with intelligent printer prioritization
  • Achieve accurate calibration with G7 or TVI methods
  • Build reliable ICC profiles for color consistency across devices
  • Automate print verification and label generation for hassle-free compliance
  • Gain deep insights into print precision and accuracy (deviations & variations)
  • Run self-audits to detect and resolve print issues proactively
  • Measure and visualize your printer’s color gamut
  • Empower press operators with clear, actionable guidance
  • Stay on top of every job with project-based production tracking
  • Streamline multi-site operations with a centralized workflow hub
