RFID Card Reader
Sign in with the badge already in your pocket.
The RFID Card Reader plugin reads RFID cards over a serial reader and uses the card identifier to fill in a login automatically.
What it does for you
Shared workstations on a press floor end up with a shared password on a sticky note, and then nobody knows who measured what. A badge tap is faster than a password, and it names the person.
Gloves, ink and a touchscreen also do not mix; a touchless sign-in is simply practical in a pressroom.
What you can do
- Touchless operator sign-in
- Automatic serial-port detection, with baud, parity and terminator settings when a reader needs them
- Live test view showing exactly what the reader reports
Getting started
Enable RFID Card Reader in the Plugin Manager, connect the reader, and check it in the live test view before relying on it.
