Installation

1. On your MFP go to AppGallery. An internet connection is required. If not MFP will return a message about the connection issue if exist.

2. Login with the following credentials:

3. From the My Apps tab Instal ChromaCheck App 

4. Launch application.

This application is launched directly from the CC-XRX server. If all is correct application will start.  As in development, an additional warning is expected.

Print and Scan Target

As it is mentioned on the screen tabloid (11x17”)  80gsm has to be loaded in TRAY nr 5 BYPASS LEFT SIDE

If Tray nr 5 contains a different size of paper or is empty - a prompt message will be displayed - no way to use a different tray.

The application checks only tray level and paper size, no way to check if exactly 80 gsm is loaded.

The user has to click the "Check” button.

Information about progress will be displayed and print should begin.

When complete the operator is asked to answer simple questions related to the visual quality of the print

Answering this the next page will be displayed with only one button “Scan” and instruction that an automatic feeder has to be used

A couple of seconds is required to upload the scan to the server - when the transition is successfully completed the message Thank You is displayed.

It is possible to check if the server registered scan properly. Every single event is registered in a separate line which contains all critical information including hardware specification.

At this stage, the scan is successfully transmitted to the server. Installed cron will check every one minute for new scans and a task queue is created. Dedicated server-side software will perform scan analysis and transform the image to numeric data in a central database - this process may take up to a couple of minutes, therefore we are not informing users what is result in the ChromaCheck app. It is possible to see results on a dedicated website.

Admin mode (scan without printing) 

This is an option for testers and advanced users only

Click on the icon in left corner

Enter admin password

Clicking on this link we can check the server log

Go to the bottom and find if your device connection is listed there

UUID":”64f05402c13cd - unique security code, used for checking if scan is authorised

"softwareVersion":”101.001.009.15090” - version of the software installed on MFP

"Score":”1” - visual judgment result declared by the operator - this parameter doesn’t exist when the scan is made in admin mode
